Phylum Pteridophyta or the Fern



Habitat:
The habitats of ferns can be very different, since they have adapted to many different environments. Some live in aquatic areas, in the deserts or even dry rock cliffs, but most of them live in the tropics.

Most vegetarian animals eat ferns

Food:
The ferns get their own resources from within the ground. The ferns pull up nutrients from the water within the soil. The plant also does photosynthesis for food.

Ferns are consisted of stems, leaves, roots, sporophyll, antherida, archegonia, and rhizoids.
